Battle Gameplay Trailer

This official gameplay trailer shows Unscathed's combat in motion, including arena-style fights between players. Watch it to see how Normal and Critical skills look in real duels before you queue up yourself. Pair it with the tier list to predict what your opponent brings.

Where PvP Fits in the Loop

The official Unscathed loop ends with PvP or a test: roll, evaluate, keep, craft, upgrade, world boss, then fight other players. That makes the arena the natural place to validate every new aura and every upgrade you buy. See the beginner guide for the loop in full.

PvP rewards build knowledge more than anything else. Because aura rarity never changes damage, a well-chosen common aura can beat a rare one that only punches. That makes PvP about kits, skills, and timing rather than pure rarity. The tier list ranks auras purely on combat strength.

Combat Numbers You Need

Every aura in Unscathed follows the same combat math, and memorizing it wins fights. Normal skills always land at 0.33x damage, Critical skills hit at 1x with a 70% chance, and auras without skills are limited to punching at 0.17x. The aura list shows which auras carry skills.

ActionDamageHit rate
Punch (no skill aura)0.17xAlways
Normal skill0.33x100%
Critical skill1x70%
Skill cost15 PPShared pool
⚠️ Skills cost PP from a default pool of 15, so spamming Criticals can leave you unable to act at the worst moment.

Prepare for a Duel

A duel is won before it starts. Equip an aura with a full skill kit, match your element to the fight, and activate temporary combat buffs only when the round begins. Test every new aura in PvP or the arena after upgrading so you know its timings. The biomes guide explains element match-ups.

Know your opponent's aura before you commit. If they run an aura with a strong Critical skill, save your own Critical for after they miss or after you close distance. If they only punch, out-range them with skills. The tier list tells you which auras carry which kits.

1

Equip a full-kit aura

An aura with Normal and Critical skills out-damages a punch-only aura every time.

2

Match your element

Element match-ups shape fights; farm the element you want in its biome first.

3

Activate combat buffs

Heal, damage, and immunity potions are temporary, so drink them before the round.

4

Manage your PP

Normal skills always hit at 0.33x; save Criticals at 1x for the right moment.

5

Test after upgrading

Use the PvP/Test step to check every new aura before taking it into the story.

💡 Damage and immunity potions are limited buffs, not permanent upgrades; activate them right before a duel, not during your farm.

Best Aura for PvP

The best aura for PvP depends on where you are in progression, but the rule is always the same: a complete skill kit beats raw rarity. Early on, that means Flame; later, Nocturnal and Luminara keep the kit complete at higher rarities. Compare every option in the tier list.

Flame

S-tier early pick: the first aura with a complete Normal and Critical kit.

Nocturnal

A-tier Night aura; Night Fang and Midnight Eclipse at 1/25,000 odds.

Luminara

Limited Light aura with Light Lance and Radiant Judgement.

Pyrestorm

Epic Fire aura with a full kit; strong but rarer than Flame.

✅ Flame stays useful deep into progression because Inferno biomes, Fire luck, and Fire traits keep boosting it, so do not sell it just because it is Uncommon.

PvP Prep Checklist

Build your PvP roster from the combat tier list, not the rarity list. S-tier picks like Flame fight above their rarity, while punch-only auras lose even with huge odds behind them. Keep a stable of full-kit auras for different match-ups. The tier list has the full ranking.

Elemental luck nodes help you collect the right elements for type match-ups during PvP, so spend skill points with fights in mind. Pair them with a biome that boosts your target element to farm the aura you actually want. The skill tree guide ranks node priorities.

Stock combat consumables before you queue: heal potions, damage potions, and the immunity potion that blocks a hit. They are temporary buffs, so timing them matters as much as having them. See the consumables guide for prices and effects before you spend your cash.

  • Equip a full-kit aura, never a punch-only pull
  • Match your element to the matchup
  • Activate combat potions right before the round
  • Spend elemental luck nodes for PvP match-ups
  • Test new auras in the arena after upgrading

Element Match-ups

Unscathed has seven elements tied to seven biomes: Basic, Light, Fire, Water, Earth, Night, and Demon. Matching your aura's element to the situation helps, and elemental luck makes those elements easier to roll. See the biomes guide for the full biome table.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there PvP in Unscathed?

Yes. PvP against other players is a core part of the game and the final step of the official loop, so you can test every build in the arena.

What is the best aura for PvP?

Flame is the community's best early pick because it is the first aura with a complete Normal plus Critical kit. See the tier list for every rank.

How do combat numbers work?

Normal skills deal 0.33x damage with 100% accuracy, Critical skills deal 1x with 70% accuracy, and auras without skills only punch at 0.17x.

Does aura rarity matter in PvP?

No. Rarity never changes damage, so a common aura with skills can beat a rare aura that only punches. Bring kits, not flexes.

Do biomes matter for PvP?

Indirectly. Rolling inside the matching biome raises elemental luck, which helps you collect the elements you want for type match-ups. See the biomes guide.

How do I get better at PvP?

Learn your aura's skills, save Criticals for close fights, use temporary combat potions at the right moment, and test every new aura in the arena after upgrading.

What role do skill points play in PvP?

Elemental Luck skill nodes raise your odds of rolling elemental auras, which the game notes is good for type match-ups during PvP. Spend points accordingly.
