Overview

Gliders are the signature feature of Update 1 in Unscathed, letting you launch across the map and glide between platforms. You buy them from a small shed on a grass platform, reached by a golden cannon near the Quest Board. Better gliders glide longer, and blue holes in the air grant buffs. See our Update 1 notes.

How to Get a Glider

Getting your first glider takes about a minute once you know the route. Find the golden cannon beside the Quest Board, launch yourself onto the grass platform, and walk into the small shed. Inside you will find three glider tiers to buy. Our Beginner Guide covers the surrounding hub basics.

Community advice is simple: save your coins and buy the Legendary glider right away instead of upgrading through Common and Rare. The better the tier, the longer you stay airborne, and the Legendary makes the buff mini-game much easier. Check what else Update 1 added in our Update 1 notes.

Once purchased, open your Inventory, go to the Wearables tab, and select the glider to equip it. From there you can take off from the blue launch platform anywhere on the map. The whole flow is covered visually in our Next Update tracker for future changes.

Glider Tiers

All three glider tiers come from the same shed, and the only confirmed difference is glide duration: better gliders keep you airborne longer. Exact duration numbers are not published, so community reports compare them by feel. The Legendary is the community favorite. See our Update 1 notes for patch context.

Prices for the tiers have not been officially published either, so treat any number you see in videos as an estimate. Plan your budget by assuming Legendary costs the most and gives the longest flight. Check our Consumables Guide for other ways to spend coins.

Using Your Glider

Using a glider is a two-part loop: launch from a blue platform, then steer through blue holes while airborne. Each hole you pass collects a buff, turning traversal into a small skill game. The blue hole buffs make gliding more than a shortcut: they reward players who fly clean lines and chain multiple holes in a row. Master the mini-game near the hub before using gliders in story areas. Read our Beginner Guide for the traversal basics.

The Blue Hole Buff Mini-Game

The blue hole mini-game is the most distinctive part of the glider update: while airborne, you steer toward glowing blue holes, and passing through one grants a buff. It is optional but worth mastering, because the buffs carry into your normal gameplay afterward. Learn more about buff stacking in our Luck Guide.

Players who ignore the mini-game still get full glider movement, so the feature never blocks progression. Treat the buffs as a bonus reward for skilled flying rather than a requirement. Future updates may expand the mini-game further. Track those changes on our Next Update page.
